Hand forged from silver sheet and wire. 
Material: Sterling silver. I do not recommend that this item is worn in water or exposed to chemicals such as perfumes, lotions and cleaning products. Sterling silver will oxidise (blacken) over time, it can be polished with an inexpensive sunshine cloth. However, over-polishing may alter the finished look of the piece.

PROCESS
Silver wire is formed around the millefiori cabochon and soldered closed, The wire bezel is then soldered on to the sheet backplate. Beaded wire is formed around the bezel. Scrap silver is balled up using a torch before being hammered into a steel impression die to form flowers, these are then hand sawn. The beaded wire and flowers are soldered to the backplate before the excess is removed with a jewellers saw, Meanwhile, sterling silver rectangular wire and daisy patterned wire is cut to length, the two pieces are soldered together before forming around a mandrel.  After sanding, polishing and patinating the cabochon is inserted and silver pushed over it with a bezel pusher to secure. The completed ring is sent to the London Assay office for official hallmarking as per legal requirement,
