Material: Sterling silver contains copper. It will tarnish to black over time. Contact with chemicals such as perfumes or chlorine can accelerate this process. It is not recommended that these items are worn in water. Sterling silver can be brought back to its original shine with an inexpensive sunshine cloth.

PROCESS
Sterling silver is melted in a furnace and poured into an ingot. The ingot is rolled and annealed until the correct thickness is reached. The silver is cut to size and pushed into a steel die with the use of a 20t hydraulic press. The silver is pressed, trimmed and annealed until the full detail has been achieved. The resultant impression is cut out with a jewellers saw, filed and sanded before two jump rings are soldered on. The pendant is pickled in acid, sanded and polished. A patina is added and it is given a final polish before being attached to a chain.

ABOUT US
Hendrix and Rogue is an independent jewellery brand run by me, Christy from my home in Surrey. The name comes from the names of my two children (my creativity has limitations.) When the boys were born I had to find a way to work around being a single mum. I left my prison psychology job of a decade and taught myself how to smith watching youtube videos. I have built myself a workshop and my aim is to be learning and challenging myself constantly. I wont make anything I wouldn't wear myself and I'm always open to custom ideas.
